Job Title: Physics Teacher
Location: Whitstable, Kent

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is excited to be recruiting for a passionate and dynamic Physics Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Whitstable. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and educate students in one of the most fascinating subjects within the sciences. The successful candidate will have the chance to nurture young minds, help them develop a deep understanding of physics, and ignite their passion for the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their potential.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students.
  • Support students in their academic journey, helping them to prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure the best learning outcomes.
  • Participate in department meetings, extra-curricular activities, and school events.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physics or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3, KS4, and KS5 Physics curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching Physics at both GCSE and A-Level.
  • A commitment to continued professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
