Job description

Job Title: Physics Teacher

Location: North West England, Cheshire, Poynton

Job Type: Temporary (February 2025 - February 2026), Part-Time (4 days a week, every day except Thursday)

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £162 - £251 Per day (Teacher Pay scale; MPS1 - UPS3)

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative physics lessons to students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in any of the three main sciences
  • Able to teach up to KS4 Physics ideally

Experience:

  • Prior experience teaching physics at the secondary school level
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of physics concepts and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time (4 days per week)
  • Temporary position (Maternity position)
  • Secondary School Classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
