Position: Teacher of Physics (Secondary School and Sixth Form)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience

A highly reputable secondary school and sixth form in Kensington is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Physics to join its permanent staff team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a prestigious educational environment, dedicated to nurturing academic excellence and fostering a passion for learning among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality Physics lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-level.
- Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Preparing students for external examinations, ensuring they achieve their full academic potential.
- Collaborating with the Science Department to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning.
- Providing academic support and guidance to students, including offering extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
- Maintaining a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes the school's values of respect, integrity, and academic excellence.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): The candidate must possess QTS and have relevant teaching experience in secondary education, ideally within a UK setting.
- Subject Expertise: A strong academic background in Physics, with a degree in Physics or a closely related discipline. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Physics curriculum up to A-level.
- Teaching Experience: Proven UK experience of teaching Physics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
- Passion for Physics: A genuine enthusiasm for Physics, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Commitment to Professional Development: A dedication to continuous professional development, staying abreast of current educational practices and innovations in teaching Physics.
- Safeguarding and Child Protection: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in contributing to the development of the school’s Science curriculum.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities, particularly those related to Physics or Science.
- A willingness to take on leadership or mentoring responsibilities within the department.
