Physical Education Teacher Needed – SEMH School – Okehampton
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our partner SEMH school in Okehampton.

Position Details:
- Role: Physical Education Teacher
- Location: Okehampton
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Full-time, temp to perm
- Pay: £171.71 - £234.08 per day + SEN Allowance + Travel Expenses
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
- Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
- Encourage personal development and teamwork through sports and physical activity.
- Collaborate with support staff and other educators to meet individual education plans (IEPs).
- Actively support the social and emotional well-being of students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with SEN/SEMH is highly desirable.
- A passion for physical education and inspiring young people.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
