PE Technician – Oldham Secondary School
Position: PE Technician (Full-time)
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term
Salary: Dependent on experience
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking an organised and proactive PE Technician to join one of our fantastic partner secondary schools in Oldham. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for physical education and sports to support the PE department in delivering high-quality lessons and extracurricular activities.
As a PE Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that PE lessons run smoothly, from setting up and maintaining equipment to assisting with lessons and sporting events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and organise sports equipment and resources for PE lessons and activities.
- Assist PE teachers in delivering practical lessons and supporting students during activities.
- Set up and take down sports equipment for lessons, fixtures, and events.
- Help to organise and supervise school sports events, competitions, and after-school clubs.
- Ensure the PE department is stocked, safe, and organised, conducting regular checks on equipment.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining records of attendance, ordering supplies, and managing equipment inventories.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a background in sports/PE is desirable.
- A passion for sports and physical education, with good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support students and teachers.
- Enthusiasm for helping young people develop their skills and confidence in PE and sport.
- Willingness to support extracurricular activities, including after-school sports clubs and events.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures in a school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
