P.E. Teacher - january start – full time temporary
One of Teaching Personnel’s client school is currently looking for a full-time temporary P.E. teacher. The role would begin in January and would last until the end of the school year. It is Monday to Friday (school day 8:30am - 3:00pm) with additional hours potentially being needed in order to plan and differentiate effective lesson plans. The school is based near Macclesfield and services a very affluent catchment area. The school is accessible via bus from Macclesfield town centre or via train and bus from Manchester city centre. Should you own a vehicle this would be an added bonus but by no means essential.
The role would involve planning and delivering high quality lessons that can stretch the ability levels of all students. The school teaches across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and so experience with teaching to all age ranges is essential. The lessons would be equally waited between practical and theory and will need to engage the students within their learning. The role would also require the candidate to be able to throw themselves into the whole school life by attending parent’s evenings, sports days, fundraisers and school trips where necessary.
The ideal candidate will also be able to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with both students and colleagues in order to help add to the warm and supportive atmosphere that has been created at the school.
- Pay based on main pay scale ranging from: MPS1 - UPS3 per annum depending on experience.
- Full time, temporary contact with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Some of the essential requirements for the role are listed below:
- Must have QTS in P.E.
- Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Experience of delivering to KS5
- Live within commuting distance of Macclesfield
