About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a vibrant middle school in Dorchester, Dorset, from January 2025 to April 2025. This is a full-time role, teaching Physical Education to students in Years 5 to 8. As a PE teacher, you will inspire students to develop their physical skills, promote teamwork, and foster a love for sports and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons to students in Years 5-8, following the school’s curriculum.
- Plan and implement a variety of activities to enhance physical development.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback as necessary.
- Encourage teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship among students.
- Participate in school events, such as sports days and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified PE Teacher (QTS or equivalent).
- Previous teaching experience in a middle school setting (preferred).
- Passion for teaching physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
