We are currently working with a reputable school in Poole that is seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join their team from 4th November 2024. Position: Physical Education Teacher (KS3 and KS4)
Location: Poole
Contract: Full-time (permanent)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, fostering a love for sports, fitness, and healthy lifestyles.
- Develop and implement a well-rounded curriculum that encompasses a variety of sports and physical activities, tailored to the specific needs and abilities of KS3 and KS4 students.
- Promote teamwork, leadership skills, and good sportsmanship through interactive and inclusive lessons.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate their development.
- Prepare students for examinations, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities, such as inter-school competitions and athletic events, providing opportunities for students to showcase their abilities and develop teamwork.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching strategies and keep up-to-date with the latest trends in physical education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Strong knowledge of different sports, fitness techniques, and health-related topics relevant to KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and build positive relationships.
- Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the physical and emotional well-being of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
