Job Title: Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant
Location: Tidworth, Wiltshire
Contract Type: Full Time
Working Hours: Flexible, based on the requirements of the school
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Tidworth. This role involves providing temporary support to teachers on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality education and care when the regular staff are unavailable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and educational activities for students.
- Support individual students or small groups of students, especially those with additional learning needs or who require extra support.
- Help set up and prepare classroom resources, ensuring all materials are ready for the day’s lessons.
- Provide support in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher regarding the students' progress, any challenges encountered, and any relevant observations.
- Follow the school's safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety of all students at all times.
- Be flexible and adaptable, stepping into various classrooms as needed based on the school’s requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, staff, and parents.
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to support students with various learning needs and behavioural challenges.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to supporting students’ development.
- An understanding of safeguarding practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
