We are now looking for a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

Role Overview:

As a Part-Time Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day activities in our nursery, ensuring that children receive the best possible care and education. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities, providing one-on-one support to children, and helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher with the delivery of the early years curriculum.
  • Support children’s learning and development on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and playtime.
  • Encourage children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, including cleaning toys and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Help to create an inclusive and engaging atmosphere for all children.

Key Requirements:

  • A passion for working with young children.
  • Previous experience working in an educational or childcare setting is preferred, but not essential.
  • A good understanding of early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic nature.
  • A relevant EARLY YEARS qualification in Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ) would be an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
