Job description

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact in the classroom? We are looking for several dedicated Part-Time Teaching Assistants to join our team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students' learning and well-being. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of young learners in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to enhance their understanding.
  • Prepare classroom materials and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Support students with additional needs, as required.
  • Participate in school events and activities, as needed.

  • Passionate about education: You care deeply about supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Empathetic and patient: You can connect with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Organized and proactive: You are efficient in managing tasks and ready to step in when needed.
  • A strong communicator: You can work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • A willingness to undergo a DBS check or equivalent background screening.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
