Job description

Job Title: One to One Tutor for Maths and English

Location: South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one tutoring in Maths and English to students
  • Create individualised lesson plans to cater to the specific needs and learning styles of each student
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Help students improve their understanding and grades in Maths and English
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Proven experience in tutoring Maths and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching or tutoring Maths and English

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the national curriculum for Maths and English
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
