Nursery Teaching Assistant

Location: East Midlands, Leicestershire, Market Harborough

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours

Salary: £90 - £120 Per day

Job Duties:

- Assist the nursery teachers in daily activities and routines

- Support and supervise children during playtime and learning activities

- Help maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children

- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members

- Assist in planning and implementing educational projects and activities

- Support children in their social, emotional, and physical development

- Contribute to record-keeping and administrative tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)

- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3)

- Current DBS check or willing to apply for one

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

- Experience working with children in a nursery setting

- Knowledge of early years education and development

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience and empathy when dealing with children

- Organisational skills and ability to multitask

- Creativity in designing and implementing activities

- Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

- Teamworking skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues

Preferred Qualifications:

- First Aid certification

- Safeguarding training

Working Conditions:

- Permanent position with Full-Time hours

- Hours: 7.45 - 17.30

- Outdoor nursery setting with children spending up to 80% of their day outside

- Physical requirements including bending, lifting, and kneeling
