Our partner nursery is a friendly and nurturing early years setting in Romsey, offering a safe and stimulating environment for young children to explore and learn. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate nursery practitioner to join our team and support the growth and development of the children in our care.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic nursery practitioner to join our team full-time. As a nursery practitioner, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and supporting high-quality care and education for children aged [insert age range, e.g. 0-5]. You will work closely with our team to create a positive, fun, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Observe and record children’s progress, ensuring that all children meet their individual developmental milestones
- Work closely with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and involvement in their child’s development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Contribute to team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Assist with the general day-to-day running of the nursery setting
Requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or equivalent (essential)
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery setting
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- A DBS check and first aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable:
- Experience with children with additional needs or specific interests (e.g., outdoor play, sensory learning, etc.)
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
- Paediatric first aid qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
