Nursery Practitioner
Job description
We are now recruiting EYFS Nursery Practitioners for some exciting opportunities in a Nursery in the Burnley area.
Our Nursery prides itself on building relationships, gaining trust and making a difference in children’s learning and development.
For this role, you will be working as a Nursery Assistant, supporting their children through a nurturing approach.
- Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday (hours may vary)
- Pay: £13.75 - £15
- Location: Burnley Nursery
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide education in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.
- Be responsible for carrying out observations so that gaps in children’s development can be identified.
- Work collaboratively with the Nursery Teacher, SENCO and parents to ensure the children are accessing the EYFS Framework.
- Provide additional 1:1 support to those children with SEN.
- Ability to prioritise the well-being and development of your key children.
- As a Key Worker, you will need to carry out engaging activities to meet the needs of your children.
- Provide daily care to your key children, encouraging them to become independent.
- Be calm and approachable for children, parents/carers and staff, demonstrating clear communication.
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery learning environment.
Your requirements:
- Have an excellent understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Have a passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- Relevant experience working with children, in a childcare setting.
- Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS Qualification or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS Check.
- A minimum of 1 year working in a Nursery setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
