Exciting Opportunity: Nursery Practitioner (General and 1:1 Support) in Darlington

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant and supportive team in Darlington. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for working with young children and providing tailored support on a 1:1 basis, as well as contributing to general nursery duties.
About the Role:
- Position: Nursery Practitioner (General and 1:1 Support)
- Location: Darlington
- Contract: Full-time/Part-time (flexible options available)
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and learning experiences to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- Support the team in delivering the curriculum and daily routines of the nursery.
- Offer 1:1 support for children with additional needs, tailoring your approach to meet their specific requirements.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting a warm, inclusive environment.
- Assist in observing and assessing children’s progress, contributing to their learning journey.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a stimulating, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised care for children with specific needs, ensuring their full inclusion in activities.
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development.
- Prepare and engage children in activities that promote their cognitive and emotional growth.
- Help create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting, ideally in a 1:1 role.
- A passionate, caring, and nurturing personality with a commitment to promoting children’s development.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- A genuine interest in providing support to children with additional needs and ensuring inclusive care.
- An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to ensuring a safe and caring environment for all children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
