Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early learning journey? Do you have the enthusiasm and skills to help nurture and develop the potential of our youngest learners? We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our warm and welcoming primary school in Gosport.

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only, 8:30-15:30

The Role
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and stimulating activities for nursery-aged children.

Work closely with children to support their individual learning needs, encouraging their personal and social development.

Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of the nursery curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Help to create a nurturing and safe learning environment where children feel happy and motivated.
-
Observe and assess children’s progress, supporting their development and helping to meet individual targets.
-
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and other staff members.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
-
Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
-
Have experience working in an early years or nursery setting (desirable but not essential).
-
Be proactive, compassionate, and enthusiastic, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
-
Have good communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
-
Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the children and the team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
