Nursery Assistant
Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester, North West England
Job Type: Temp to perm, Full-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £83.85+ Per day
Job Duties:
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities and programmes
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Help with feeding, nappie-changes, and personal hygiene routines
- Monitor and engage in playtime and outdoor activities
- Assist in maintaining records and updating children's progress reports
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and organise educational and recreational activities
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their child's development
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow nursery policies and procedures
Experience:
- Prior experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred
- Experience in assisting with child development activities and routines
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child development principles and practises
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a nursery environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children
Working Conditions:
- Work in a nursery setting with young children
- Full-time hours.
- Physical stamina to supervise and engage in active play with children
- Adherence to health and safety guidelines, including proper hygiene practises

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
