Position: Nursery and SENCO Teacher

As a Nursery and SENCO Teacher, you’ll play a dual role in guiding early learners during their foundational years and ensuring that children with additional needs receive the tailored support they require.
Job Description:
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Nursery Teaching Duties:
- Planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for nursery-aged children.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported.
- Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and social interaction through play-based learning.
- Monitoring and assessing progress to meet early years curriculum standards.
- SENCO Responsibilities:
- Identifying and assessing children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and parents.
- Providing guidance and training to staff to ensure inclusive practices across the nursery.
- Liaising with external agencies and specialists to secure additional support where needed.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and SEN policies.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
- Experience working with early years students and coordinating SEN support.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and SEN Code of Practice.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching.
- SENCO qualification or willingness to undertake SENCO training (preferred).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
