Part-Time Music Teacher - An Outstanding Secondary School

About the Role

As a Teacher of Music, you will join a collaborative and innovative Music department, responsible for:

  • Setting high expectations for all learners and delivering an inspiring music curriculum to students in Years 7 to 13.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that are well-prepared and reflect a range of teaching methods to meet student needs.
  • Assessing student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly, and providing regular feedback.
  • Recording and reporting on students’ progress, attendance, and development.
  • Using ICT, literacy, numeracy, and your specialist knowledge to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintaining discipline in line with the school’s procedures and promoting high standards of punctuality, behaviour, and homework.

This part-time position offers a permanent contract.

  • Has a degree in Music and a passion for inspiring students.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status and has experience working in a secondary school.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire trust and confidence among students, staff, and families.
  • Is committed to continuous professional development and wants to contribute to the development of our school.
  • Has experience in raising achievement levels and improving student attainment.
