Music Teacher
Location: Hornchurch, East London
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full-Time (potential for permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

About the Role
Our client, a successful and well-regarded academy based in Hornchurch, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their Performing Arts department as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and committed to delivering inspiring and inclusive lessons across KS3 and KS4.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and creative team in a school that values the arts and encourages student participation in musical performance, composition, and appreciation.

Role Details

  • Teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' musical skills and creativity

  • Contribute to extracurricular music activities, including ensembles and performances

  • Assess and track student progress effectively

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a broad and balanced curriculum

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Music or a related field

  • Strong instrumental and/or vocal skills

  • Experience with performance direction or ensemble leadership is a plus

  • A dynamic and student-focused teaching style
