Our client school in South Norwood is seeking a dedicated and passionate Motor Mechanics Instructor to support learners aged 14–19 with a range of additional needs, including behavioural, emotional, and social communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and practical motor mechanics lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEN (Special Educational Needs).
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with other staff and professionals to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified instructor with experience in teaching motor mechanics.
- Proven ability to work with students with SEMH or SEN.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
- Ability to adapt to different learning environments and needs.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
