Motor Mechanics Instructor
Location: South Norwood, Greater London
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Our client school in South Norwood is seeking a dedicated and passionate Motor Mechanics Instructor to support learners aged 14–19 with a range of additional needs, including behavioural, emotional, and social communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical motor mechanics lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other staff and professionals to provide holistic support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified instructor with experience in teaching motor mechanics.
  • Proven ability to work with students with SEMH or SEN.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning environments and needs.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
