Part-Time Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ADHD) – Blackpool
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: After February Half Term
Hours: Mornings Only (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Fixed Term
Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 child with ADHD in a Blackpool primary school. This is a mornings-only role, starting after the February half term, providing 1:1 support to help the child stay engaged, focused, and reach their full potential.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 support for a Year 6 child with ADHD, helping them stay on task and manage their emotions.
- Implementing structured routines to promote focus and positive learning behaviors.
- Using de-escalation strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and support progress.
- Encouraging independence and boosting the child’s confidence and self-esteem.
The Ideal Candidate:
✔️ Experience working with children with ADHD and additional needs
✔️ Ability to use strategies to manage attention and behavior effectively
✔️ Patient, calm, and nurturing approach
✔️ Strong communication skills to work with teachers, parents, and external professionals
✔️ Relevant TA qualifications or experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
