Location: Ilford, London
Salary: Grade 1C, SCP 3 (Outer London) £27,729 per annum; £6,736.36 pro-rata
Hours: Part-time, term-time only
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
Our client is looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils during lunchtime, fostering a positive and enjoyable dining and playtime experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children during lunch breaks, both in the dining hall and playground.
- Encourage positive play and social interactions among pupils.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist with setting up and tidying the lunch area.
- Promote good table manners and healthy eating habits.
- Manage minor first aid incidents and report any concerns to senior staff.

- A friendly, approachable, and patient manner.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A responsible and caring attitude towards children.
- Previous experience working with children (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to promote positive behaviour and handle minor conflicts effectively.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection (successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
