About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Stockport. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and contribute to a well-established MFL department.
As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic language lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school is looking for a teacher who can create an interactive and immersive learning environment, helping students develop their language skills and cultural awareness.
The pay for this role will be in line with your payscale, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach one or more languages (such as French, Spanish, or German) to a range of student abilities.
- Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
- Foster an enthusiasm for language learning and cultural appreciation.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, providing tailored support and intervention where necessary.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, setting high expectations to drive achievement.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular language clubs or trips.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching MFL at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is beneficial but not essential).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language education.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- A commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a culture of academic success.
