MFL Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive school in Oldham. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and help them develop a love for languages, while promoting cultural understanding and communication skills. The successful candidate will be joining a forward-thinking department and have the chance to contribute to the continued success of our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons (French or Spanish) to students of varying abilities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and assessment guidelines.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
- Encourage students to take an active interest in language learning and cultural exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and QTS.
- A passion for Modern Foreign Languages and the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential. ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
