Mathematics Teacher (Full-Time) – Thurrock

We are supporting an excellent school in Thurrock in the recruitment of a highly motivated and qualified Mathematics Teacher. This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established institution dedicated to fostering academic achievement and providing a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics instruction to students across a range of year groups and abilities.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lessons that promote engagement and facilitate student understanding and progress.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student performance, providing detailed feedback and guidance to support individual development.
  • Establish and maintain an inclusive and conducive learning atmosphere that encourages active participation and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Mathematics department to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and contribute to its continuous development.
  • Support students in academic competitions and other extracurricular activities, enhancing their educational experience.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field (Qualified Teacher Status is highly desirable).
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the GCSE and A-Level curricula.
  • Proficient classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting the holistic development of students.
  • The ability to differentiate instruction and tailor teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
