A highly reputable SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join the permanent staff of their independent, special school located in Trowbridge. This exceptional opportunity is available from September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to a variety of learning styles.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and a love of learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths, preferably within an SEMH or special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for educational excellence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
