Job description

Maths Teacher for KS3 & KS4 Position Available
Full-time Position CF42 area
Daily rate of £157 - £Scale

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a school who has asked for our assistance in recruiting a qualified Maths Teacher to cover a long-term sickness position for the remainder of the term, potentially longer. The Secondary school is located in the CF42 area, and the successful candidate will be following the curriculum teaching Mathematics to students of KS3 and KS4. There will be online interviews held over the coming weeks for interested applicants.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • DBS Certificate on the Update Service (TP assistance provided)
  • Registration on the EWC (TP assistance provided)
  • Provide two education-based references
  • Have PGCE or equivalent
  • Show a passion for education and portray that in their lessons

Daily Duties:

  • Pre-plan and deliver math’s lessons in line with school curriculum to KS3 & KS4
  • Take a register of students’ attendance in lesson
  • Prepare and mark homework for students’ classes
  • Manage any challenging behaviours exhibited in class in accordance with school policy
  • Communicate and work as a team in the Mathematics Department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
