Maths Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the team at a client secondary school located in South Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths to students across KS3 and KS4.
The school is based in the heart of Stockport, within a 5-minute walk of local bus or tram stops, but also has an onsite car park for members of staff utilising a vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Assess, monitor, and track students’ progress, providing regular feedback to support their development.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the Maths curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards and the school’s objectives.
• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students’ interest in Mathematics.
• Attend parent’s evenings, open days, and other events to promote the Maths department and engage with the school community.
Essential Requirements:
• A relevant qualification in Maths, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree, along with a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level, ideally in the UK education system.
• A thorough understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Maths for KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• The ability to differentiate instruction and create resources to cater to various learning styles and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
