Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Use creative teaching strategies to engage students of all abilities, ensuring that all learners are supported and challenged.
  • Assess and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and implement effective interventions.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of resources within the department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments on cross-curricular projects and extra-curricular activities.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Inspire a love of mathematics and help build students’ confidence and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE requirements for maths.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for mathematics and a commitment to helping students succeed.
