 Maths Teacher – Southampton

Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2024 (or as soon as possible)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the Maths curriculum and resources.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment where all students feel motivated and supported.
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain and improve standards of teaching and learning.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • IDeally a fully qualified teacher with QTS, however we are able to consider over seas trained teachers or unqualified teachers with relevant experience. 
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is a plus).
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students to develop a love for mathematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
