What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting content to different ability levels to ensure progress for all students.
  • Curriculum Support: Work closely with the Maths department to develop and refine curriculum plans, with a focus on strong foundations and comprehensive exam preparation.
  • Focused Assessments: Prepare students for exams with strategic lesson planning, individual feedback, and clear, approachable assessment methods.
  • Collaborative Development: Engage with colleagues in cross-departmental projects, sharing best practices and contributing to continuous professional growth.
  • Supporting Well-being: Recognize the individual needs of students, ensuring a balanced focus on both academic success and personal well-being.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level, with a sound understanding of KS3 and KS4 content.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, instilling confidence in their mathematical abilities.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to maintaining an inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, building strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
