Job description

Maths Teacher - January

Location: Slough

Job Type: Full-Time hours

Salary: MPS/UPS

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students
  • Assess and monitor student progress
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to aid their development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum

Required Qualifications:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience:

  • Prior experience teaching Maths at the secondary level up to A-Level (KS5). 
  • Demonstrated success in improving student performance.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Patience and resilience in dealing with challenging situations

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work for meetings or events
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
