Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher for a fantastic school in Sidmouth. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive teaching community and make a real impact in students’ lives as they develop their mathematical skills and confidence.

Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Sidmouth, Devon
Start Date: January
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
As the Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and dynamic lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates. You will join a committed team who work together to create an inclusive, encouraging environment that supports students to excel in Maths and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters a love for learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and share best practices
  • Engage in school life and contribute to the extracurricular programme

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and KS4, with KS5 an advantage)
  • Passion for mathematics and helping students achieve their full potential
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to professional development
  • Ability to start in January

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
