Maths Teacher required for a Secondary School in Portsmouth

Are you passionate about teaching Maths and eager to make a positive impact in the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to work within secondary schools across Portsmouth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students at KS3 and KS4.
  • Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and share best practices.
  • Communicate with parents and carers regarding student performance when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Maths or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Passionate about Maths and committed to student success.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
