Maths Teacher
Salary- £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
Northampton
Full Time – Permanent Position

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a Secondary school based in Northampton. The school specialise in pupils ages 11-19 year olds SEMH needs, the school are looking for a Maths Teacher to plan and deliver an inspiring curriculum that enables all pupils to make good progress, enjoy and achieve.

Key Tasks

  • To plan and teach clear, high quality lessons to support pupils to make good or outstanding progress and to embed key concepts in their long term memory
  • To set clear targets for pupils’ learning, building on prior attainment and considering each pupil as an individual
  • To have regard, and plan to meet, the special educational needs of pupils
  • To prioritise reading in order to develop pupils’ fluency, confidence and enjoyment
  • To plan and sequence learning towards cumulatively sufficient knowledge and, as appropriate, meaningful accreditation

Qualifications

  • Recognised Teaching qualification
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or equivalent

  • Able to establish and develop good relationships with all involved in the school.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Competent in the use of ICT.
  • Flexible and approachable.
  • Resilient under pressure.
    • Ability to maintain a good sense of humour High levels of tolerance.
    • Professionalism.
    • Integrity.
    • Trustworthy and dependable.

The school is based in Northampton. Parking will be available on site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
