Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths teacher to join our team at a secondary school in North Tyneside. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced teacher with experience working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

The ideal candidate will be QTS qualified and have experience working with class sizes of up to 30 students. They will also have experience planning and organising lessons that are engaging and follow the curriculum specification.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE 

  • UK Teacher Qualification with QTS (or NQT).
  • Enhanced DBS certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Maths or a similar field.
  • Class control and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Teaching classes of up to 30 pupils.
  • Have vast knowledge and understanding of the mathematics curriculum. 
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress across the academic year.
  • Encourage and motivate the learning of the pupils.
  • Prepare and implement lessons to a high standard.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
