Are you a passionate Maths teacher looking for an exciting new role starting ASAP? Our school in Consett is seeking a dedicated Maths teacher to join their thriving team. Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT), we encourage you to apply!
Position Details:
- Role: Maths Teacher
- Pay: £162.31 to £251.71 per day (to scale)
- Contract: Part-Time (2 days)
- Start Date: ASAP
About the School:
Located in Durham, our client school offers excellent transport links via the A1/A1(M) and A68, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas. Non-drivers will also benefit from a wide range of public transport options across the North East.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum with the ability to teach a range of levels
- Effective classroom management skills to create an engaging learning environment
- Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply – we can assist!)
- Two professional references from recent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths to KS3 and KS4 students of varying abilities
- Plan, deliver, and mark lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Participate in a range of extracurricular activities
- Contribute to a collaborative team working towards student success

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
