Maths Teacher

Location: Cardiff (Secondary School)
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Contract: January – May
Salary: Paid to Scale (Teacher Pay Scale)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Cardiff for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team. This role is perfect for an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic NQT looking to make a positive impact on students' education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, following the national curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work, ensuring progress and engagement in their learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including attending meetings, contributing to departmental planning, and supporting school initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Strong behaviour management skills to create a focused and productive classroom.
  • A commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are warmly encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
