We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher for a full-time position at a secondary school in Blandford starting in September 2024.

Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Blandford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality maths lessons to students aged 11-18, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum and examination board specifications.
  • Create a classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and active engagement in learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings to contribute to the continuous improvement of the maths department.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching maths at secondary school level, preferably including Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
