Maths Teacher (Maternity Cover Contract)

We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Bedford, who are recruiting for a Maths Teacher on a temporary basis to support a Maternity cover contract for the Autumn Term (2nd September 2024 - 20th December 2024).
The role would involve teaching Maths predominantly to Year 7 - Year 11 GCSE classes (KS3/4). A Maths Teacher with at least 1 year experience teaching Maths to GCSE is essential.

Contract
Maternity cover on a full-time basis. You are expected to support the Maths Department fully during this period, with planning, marking and teaching Maths as your responsibilities. You will need to arrive for 8:15am and finish around 15:05pm.
On this full-time contract, you will be treated like a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities as well as PPA time included on your timetable.
Pay
You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1 - UPS1 on a daily rate equivalent.

The ideal candidate we would like to speak to will possess:
- QTS or PGCE Maths Qualification
- Maths Teacher with at least 1 years experience teaching up to KS4
- Highly knowledgeable in GCSE Geography curriculum
- Be passionate about teaching Geography and promoting learning in Maths for excellent results
- Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
- Be able to plan and deliver creative and stimulating Geography lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
