Class Teacher with Maths Subject Lead (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: December 2024
Contract: Fixed Term – 1 Year (Maternity Cover)
Location: Bootle (L30)
Salary: M1-M6
We are seeking a passionate and committed Class Teacher with additional responsibility for leading Maths across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join our vibrant and welcoming team. The role is to cover maternity leave, starting in December 2024, for a period of one year.
About the Role:
As the class teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a class of enthusiastic and motivated pupils. Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will take on the Science Subject Lead role, where you will:
- Lead and develop the Science curriculum across the school.
- Support colleagues in delivering engaging and effective Science lessons.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in Science.
- Organise and promote Science activities, including events such as Science Week.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Be an experienced and inspirational teacher with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Have a passion for Science and a track record of delivering engaging lessons.
- Be confident in leading and supporting staff in developing their practice.
- Be committed to raising standards and ensuring that every child reaches their potential.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
