Maths Learning Support Assistant – Permanent Role
Location: Secondary School in New Mills
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent
A well-regarded secondary school in New Mills is seeking a Maths Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of Maths who are passionate about helping students develop their confidence and skills in the subject.
About the Role:
- Supporting students in Maths lessons to reinforce key concepts and improve understanding.
- Working with small groups and individual students who need additional support to reach their full potential.
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging Maths activities.
- Helping to track student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Encouraging a positive attitude towards learning and building students’ confidence in Maths.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a strong knowledge of Maths and enjoys working with young people.
- Has experience supporting students in an educational setting (preferred but not essential).
- Is patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with students.
- Can work collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance student learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
