Maths Intervention Specialist – Houghton-le-Spring, Durham

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Intervention Specialist to work in a secondary school in Houghton-le-Spring, providing targeted support to help students build confidence and improve their mathematical skills. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver focused Maths interventions to small groups and individual students, helping them develop key skills and confidence.
• Support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students across different ability levels, from those needing extra assistance to high achievers.
• Regularly assess student progress and adapt interventions to meet individual learning needs.
• Work closely with teachers to integrate effective intervention strategies into classroom learning.
• Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents as required.
Requirements:
• Relevant Maths qualifications (minimum GCSE in Maths, with A Level or degree-level Mathematics preferred).
• Experience working with secondary school students in a teaching, tutoring, or intervention role.
• Ability to deliver engaging and effective intervention sessions that inspire and support students.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff.
• A passion for education and a commitment to improving student outcomes in Maths.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
