Maths HLTA
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary SEMH provision who is seeking to onboard a HLTA to deliver Maths sessions to small groups.
- KS3 – KS4
- Full-time (Monday – Tuesday; 8:20 – 3:20pm, Wednesday – Thursday 8:20am – 4:00pm, Friday 8:20am – 2:30pm)
- ASAP start – initially until the end of the academic year with the view to be extended
- Blackburn area
- Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
The role
As a HLTA in this provision you will have a focus on the Maths curriculum and to provide support to targeted individual students, small groups and classes. You will generally work with a small group of students to ensure students’ progress and to boost their confidence. The role will involve planning, preparing and delivering group work or team teaching with the main class teacher. The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver interventions to targeted students focusing on area identified by the class teacher.
The provision
The provision in based in the Blackburn area. It is an alternative Provision for students from KS2 – KS4, many of whom have found it difficult to be successful in a mainstream school.
ECTS, HLTAs and graduates with a degree in Maths are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
