Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Maths Teaching Assistant position for one of our client schools in Manchester. This position will be a full-time position, starting in January 2025.
For this position, is it essential that you a recent Maths Graduate, interested in started a career in teaching. You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, as well as provide at least two employment references. You will also be required to complete a safeguarding course during your application process.
The key highlights of this position are:
- Competitive pay- the salary for this position will be £1500 and £1800 per month, dependent on experience.
- The support of Teaching Personnel as well as the school to help you in the early stages of your teaching career.
- For the right candidate, there will be the opportunity to go onto permanent positions through Teaching Personnel.
You will be responsible for supporting small groups of children, on a 1:1 basis. You will be supporting the pupils who are struggling the most in their preparation for their exams. You should be able to assist the pupils gain an understanding of the topic by using your own knowledge of the subject to answer any questions that they may have.
This school is located in Manchester and easily commutable from the surrounding areas such as: Chorlton, Fallowfield, Moss Side, Whalley Range, Old Trafford, Firswood, and Withington. The school is in a very disadvantaged area, more than half of their pupils are eligible for free school meals, this is double the national average.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
