Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our friendly high achieving team. The school we are recruiting for has an excellent reputation, achieves highly in terms of attainment and progress and is oversubscribed. It was rated “Good” overall. We are looking for Cover Supervisor that specialise in Maths in particular. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an efficient and organised person to join us as a cover supervisor, in supporting the smooth operation of the school through delivering planned lessons. The ideal candidate will be a Maths graduate, currently in the process of gaining their QTS or wanting to work with children.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons based on pre-prepared work to full class groups, managing the classroom environment to promote good behaviour for learning, and liaising with teaching colleagues on their return to promote good continuity for students. Adaptability, resilience and the ability to think on your feet are essential in this varied and evolving role, as will an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Strong Maths and a level of good English skills is needed.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, being able to competently deal with all of our stakeholders.

  • A friendly, approachable demeanour with an adaptable and flexible outlook.
  • Excellent time-keeping and a responsible, reliable and mature attitude towards work.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • At least five GCSE grades, including English and Maths

Working hours

Our schools typically operate between the hours of 8.30am - 3.15 pm (Mon - Fri) but are closed during the school holidays and half-terms. This means you'll have plenty of time for personal commitments outside of working hours and can benefit from the time off over Christmas, Easter and the summer.

Flexibility

When working with Coyle Education, you’ll have control over your shifts that you work, allowing you to organise your week and plan according to your needs and preferences and can work Full-time or Part-time with us.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
