Mathematics Functional Skills Tutor
Job description

For this role, we are looking for a Mathematics Functional Skills Tutor. In this position, you will need to be able to build a relationship with these students to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. We will also require you to have a strong knowledge of the current Mathematics curriculum.
The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.
Requirements for the role:
- An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
- Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
- A strong understanding and comprehension of the Mathematics curriculum in the UK.
- A professional, patient and approachable approach to education and teaching.
- Willingness to travel between various schools.
- Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
