Location: Cardiff
Pay: £100 - £110 Welsh Speaking
Start Date: January 2025 – end of academic year (sickness cover)

Teaching Personnel is excited to announce an opening for an enthusiastic Mathematics Cover Teacher at a well-regarded Welsh-medium Secondary school in the Cardiff area. This large, vibrant school, home to 680 students aged 11-18, is looking to expand its team of dedicated educators. The school seeks a candidate with a passion for teaching Mathematics, committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. If you are driven by the goal of helping students develop strong problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of mathematics, this could be the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver preset work to classrooms of children between 11-14
- Use assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
Key Requirements:
- Have at least an A-level in Maths or a relevant subject
- Experience covering or teaching in secondary schools.
- Ability to teach Maths at KS3
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in extracurricular activities and events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
